Welcome to Swanton Middle School! My name is Dakota Ulrich, and I am filled with Bulldog pride and truly honored to serve our students, families, and staff as Assistant Principal.

At SMS, we are committed to holding ourselves and our students to the Swanton Seven, which guide us in building a positive, respectful, and student-centered school culture. Our four-house system, working alongside the Swanton Seven, promotes unity across grade levels while fostering mentorship, healthy competition, pride, and enthusiasm. Each house’s unique traits and symbols contribute to the strong Bulldog culture that makes Swanton Middle School such a special place. I believe in setting high expectations, supporting the whole child, and helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Swanton Middle School holds a very special place in my heart. It is truly my “Disney World”, a place full of energy, growth, and opportunity, and serving in this role is making my dreams come true. Each day, I am inspired by the students who walk through our doors and the dedicated educators who support them. Through spirited house events, collaboration, and shared achievements, we will continue to build meaningful connections that strengthen our school community.
