Course Scheduling Information
Planning your High School Curriculum
Choosing courses throughout your high school career takes careful planning. As you make your
choices, you should carefully consider your interests, your abilities, the requirements for
graduation, the overall plan of your high school curriculum, and your future plans. Discuss your
plans with your counselor, parents, and teachers. Careful planning helps eliminate mistakes and
enables you to make the most of your educational opportunities in high school.
Selection Sheets
The district will be using a variety of data files to make recommendation regarding courses students should be taking.
Recommended courses have been placed on the course selections sheets given to students.

students thus have the opportunity to study one or more collegelevel courses and then, depending on examination
results, may receive advanced placement, credit, or both when they enter college.
Explanations of each course and necessary prerequisites are on the following pages. There is no
application for admission in to AP courses, however, it is recommended strongly that each student investigate
thoroughly each course prior to scheduling. After admission and scheduling only under rare circumstances will a
student be allowed to drop an AP course.
